Preschool (18 Months - 4 years old):
Students entering our preschool programs are not required to take an entrance test. However, parent interviews and child screenings may be required.
Kindergarten:
Our youngest candidates enjoy activity sessions that assess cognitive, language, motor, and social skills. These sessions are scheduled via Zoom. Testing will begin in January and an admissions representative will call you to schedule a virtual exam once your application is received. Kindergarten candidates must be 5 years old by September 1 to apply.
Grades 1-5:
Applicants take standardized tests in reading comprehension, math, and writing. Testing will begin in January and an admissions representative will call you to schedule a virtual exam once your application is received.
Grades 6-12:
Sổ kết quả xổ sốMiddle and Upper School applicants take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) at home, which measures verbal and quantitative ability, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Applicants will virtually interview with an admissions coordinator or teacher to share interests, talents, and goals.

International Students:
In addition to meeting the academic and character standards required of all NSU University School applicants, international students in grades 2-12 must demonstrate English proficiency at the intermediate level on a standardized test of English proficiency including but not limited to the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL/TOEFL JR), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), PTE Academic/YTE, or the SSAT. Minimum test scores for Upper School applicants are 70 (TOEFL), 5.5 (IELTS), and 49 (PTE).

Sổ kết quả xổ sốApplicants for grades 8-12 must submit both original language and certified translated transcripts, beginning with grade 8 through the current grade level. All applicants must submit copies of passport and customs documentation (Visa, I-20, Proof of permanent residency).
A video or personal interview is included in the application process to access verbal English ability and to learn more about the student's interests and goals.
